The Dirty Hands Test
Ask where the user's hands physically are before you design the interface.
How it works
- 1Ask where the user's hands physically are at the moment your product needs them.
- 2If the answer involves raw food, tools, gloves, a steering wheel, or a patient, any phone-based flow is already dead.
- 3Move the interface to the thing they are already touching.
- 4Kostas's version: cooking and using your phone at the same time is the most annoying thing in the world, and every calorie app requires it.
