Framework
The Two Landings
What happens after ego dissolution, and why the container matters.
How it works
- 1The experience often produces a felt sense of oneness and loss of self-reference. On re-entry, that epiphany resolves in one of two directions.
- 2Landing one: "I am no different from God, therefore I am powerful, I can do anything." The Messiah complex.
- 3Landing two: "I am infinitesimally small, and I understand my place in it." Also profound, considerably more workable.
- 4Founders are structurally predisposed to landing one. Grandiosity is part of the job description. This is exactly why the integration container exists.
