Framework

Persona-as-Distribution

Design shareable characters that each speak to a distinct identity and audience. The persona becomes the distribution channel - each archetype carries its own built-in community and creates organic sharing without paid acquisition.

How it works

  1. 1Map each persona to a recognizable archetype that already has an audience: affirmation communities, discipline/fitness culture, mindfulness space, professional ambition
  2. 2The persona should be distinct enough to be quotable and memorable - when users share a clip, they are sharing an identity, not a feature
  3. 3Draw on established psychological frameworks (Jungian archetypes, cultural archetypes) to give personas depth and recognition beyond surface-level branding
  4. 4Each persona functions as a separate acquisition channel: Slay Bestie for affirmation communities, Drill Sergeant for athletic/military-adjacent users, Zen Master for mindfulness audiences
  5. 5Persona IP compounds over time - names, voice styles, and behavioral patterns become moats that are hard to replicate even if the underlying mechanic is copied
  6. 6Start with 4-6 personas that cover maximum identity diversity before expanding; too many options creates decision paralysis at onboarding
