Device-Bound CredentialA cryptographic key or authentication credential that is generated inside a hardware enclave on a specific device and physically cannot be copied, exported, or used on any other device. In contrast to passwords (which exist in memory and can be transmitted), device-bound credentials never enter general purpose memory - they can sign data but cannot move. The possession factor in authentication is therefore the device itself rather than a secret that can be stolen. This model underlies passkeys, Apple Pay, tap-to-pay credit cards, and Beyond Identity's authentication platform. Jasson Casey's key insight: since 80% of security incidents trace back to credentials that can move - passwords stolen, tokens copied, session cookies hijacked - device-bound credentials break the dominant attack chain at the architecture level rather than at the detection level.DFM (design for manufacturing)The engineering phase after prototyping where a design is adapted to be producible at scale on real machines.Digital twinA verified, licensable likeness of a real person, usually face and optionally voice, that productions can use in AI-generated content without a live performance.DOMDocument Object Model, the live structure of a webpage that Cora manipulates without touching your code.DPIA (Data Protection Impact Assessment)A structured risk review required before running processing activities likely to result in high risk to individuals' rights and freedoms.eBOMEngineering Bill of Materials — the full, structured list of every part in a product and how they relate. The eBOM is the source of truth for what actually gets manufactured.Edge DeviceAny computing hardware that processes data locally without sending it to a remote server or cloud. Examples include smartphones, drones, and the Key Boy. Critical for latency-sensitive and privacy-sensitive applications.ELT PipelineExtract, Load, Transform. The process of moving raw data into a warehouse before transforming it — one of the four highest-value use cases for data agents.
