The Remote Monitoring Closed Loop

The value of remote patient monitoring is not data collection — it is completing the loop between patient, device, and care team in real time.

How it works

  1. 1Collect biometrics at home via connected devices (blood pressure cuffs, glucose monitors, Bluetooth wearables) — the patient should not need to go anywhere for routine data capture.
  2. 2Surface actionable alerts to the care team in real time, not at the next appointment — the window between a warning sign and an emergency is where the product earns its value.
  3. 3Close the loop with a clinical response: notify both the patient and provider simultaneously so action is immediate and both parties are informed.
  4. 4Each break in the loop degrades the outcome: data collected but not reviewed, alerts sent but not actioned, notifications delivered without context all represent failure points.
  5. 5The loop only works when all three steps — collect, surface, respond — are tight; optimizing any one without the others produces incomplete results.

Data Provenance ArchitectureInstead of detecting whether content is AI-generated, attest where it came from. Device-bound credentials extend from authenticating users to attesting the origin of data produced by cameras, sensors, and AI systems. Provenance does not degrade as AI generation improves - it is the architecturally correct long-term answer to deepfakes and synthetic media.Device-Bound Identity ModelCredentials stored in a hardware enclave cannot be copied, exported, or used on any other device. Since 80% of security incidents involve credential movement, eliminating movement eliminates most of the attack surface. The payment card industry proved this model at global scale with tap-to-pay - Beyond Identity applies the same architecture to enterprise and agentic authentication. The Familiarity LadderWhy BE-A looks ordinary on purpose, and why the humanoid comes last.Crowdsourced Insight SignalWhen users independently mark moments they find most valuable, the aggregate frequency of those marks per content unit becomes a quality discovery layer superior to algorithmic recommendation or editorial curation.Layered Continuous MonitoringNo single data source is sufficient for population health inference. Combine financial claims, wearables, face scan biomarkers, labs, questionnaires, and partner integrations into a unified data lake — each layer compensates for gaps in the others.Build Backwards from Business RequirementsWoz's core development philosophy: architecture decisions, security guardrails, and compliance requirements are defined at the start from a CTO lens — not added iteratively after prototyping proves the concept.
